Looking South
Day off and we were up sharp to try to get the most out of the day before the rain that was forecast appeared.
We arrived at Westport beach to find that, apart from one person and their dog, we were the only ones on the beach.
The wind was fairly chilly and I was glad of my hat and fingerless gloves:-)
Looking south towards Machrihanish you could see the Mull of Kintyre and the Antrim coast in the distance.
Lovely bracing walk and then we treated ourselves to tea/cappuccino and a tray bake at Glenbarr before heading home.
The rain had come on in earnest by that time.
My extra is the view north with Islay and the mountains of Jura in the distance, before the rain obscured the view.
