A crazy day

...and I'm talking batshit!

I was up at 6 AM to make Jae's breakfast and work butties and make him get out of bed. I also had to remove Minstrel's food for his impending trip to the Vet. That also meant there was no point in my going back to bed!

We took Minstrel to the vet's, which was very busy and there was a dog in the cat waiting area. I don't think Minstrel's really seen a dog before! We saw a vet we'd not seen before either, and I don't think cats are his favourite animal, he says to him they are all the same, and he kept referring to Minstrel as "she". Minsty did not enjoy the thorough examination he got - I saw him hiss today for only the second time! 

The lump on his neck is most possibly caused by a reaction to his vaccination, and needs to be removed as it can keep growing. They want him back a week on Friday. The plan is to try to draw off a bit of it for testing to be sure that's what it is, but if he doesn't co-operate, they will anaesthetise him and remove it rather than do the test then have to give him a second anaesthetic at a later time for the removal.

He was very happy to be home and have some food and a sleep. We went out for a walk around Hartsholme Park to take photos. I got there and wondered why - it was knee-deep in mud and freezing cold. I was OK once I got going though!

Later, we went shopping to Morrison's for a change! I normally have some of their salad but it was too cold for that. 

Once the shopping was done Brian went to get food from the shop I work in and my boss asked him to ask me if I'd go to work for a few hours. I reluctantly agreed...

It wasn't that busy at work, but we ended up being an hour late leaving. The clock malfunctioned and my boss thought it was the right time. We didn't realise until someone pointed out we were open much later than normal. That was so annoying! A whole extra hour there bored out of my skin!

I am very glad to be home. Brian can get Jae up tomorrow...
