Viaduct Basin

This morning I was again down by the waterfront near the central city; a little further west than two days ago. Same sort of time of the morning; just before the sun appeared above the horizon. It is a lovely time of the day when the weather is as clear as it was today. Crisp, cool and clear.

The apartment building on the left has access near where I was standing to a small berthage for yachts. On the other side of that is a hotel which has a restaurant with a view out onto the yachts moored there. The food was pretty wonderful last time I was there. So was the cost!

The morning sky is reflected in the windows of the Viaduct Events Centre in the left background. In large you can see the ramp running up the side to a viewing deck at the end of the old wharf on which the centre is built.

And on the right are a few of the many yachts (sail and motor driven) to be found her and westward to Westhaven Harbour.
