My dad was a very keen follower of athletics and would have liked this celebration flag.  As my mum said, he would have approved of the fact that we were out enjoying the sunshine and giving ourselves a mini-break yesterday.  Complications developed on Friday and the doctors felt he was too ill/weak to survive an operation.  He died in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
