Radio City Music Hall, NYC
I'm sure that every street in NYC leads to this lovely building - or maybe we were just walking round in circles. Everytime we passed, I had to take another shot of it.
Magnolia, a bakery with the most delicious cakes (breakfast on most days) was just along from this.
No queues as we passed - so we enjoyed amazing views of the city from Top of the Rock, earlier than we had planned. The green rectangle of Central Park stood out amongst the skyscrapers and beautiful architecture.
After wandering on, we came across a Sunday street market on Madison Avenue, and bought fresh fruit smoothies.
We only managed to get half way along Central Park before our feet were aching and lack of sleep was beginning to tell.
I wasn't the only one who had been wide awake at 4am that morning. My 11 yr old daughter walked to the window of our hotel room and looked out. 'What are you doing?', I asked. 'It's the city that never sleeps', she said, 'and I'm just checking, and it does sleep!' She was right. It looked pretty quiet from where we were (on the 30th floor at the back of the hotel). I would guess things would have looked different with a Times Square view.
