Pipped at the post

Drove over to Cambridge today for a pleasant afternoon seminar in memory of an ex OU colleague who died in the summer. Stimulating and thoughtful discussions but I did feel I had gone back about 30 years.
Happened to switch university challenge on this evening. This was the result as the gong went. OU team answered another question correctly but just after the gong. So it went to sudden death and they won. It couldn't have gone to better opponents- I suppose!
