Beauty before the beast

A clear, beautiful morning. I went for a walk around the Lake looking for good views of Mount Fuji. With the autumn colours, and a heavy snowfall on the mountain last night, it looked stunning.

There was wifi at the restaurant where I had lunch and I made the mistake of looking at the early election results from the US. Instantly depressed. And by the time I got back to the hostel it was almost over. So sad for America and the world.
