A day of ...

... surprises or shocks dependIng on your point of view.

It was a surprise to see so much snow and mist this morning. At 7.30 the world was grey and white. It's not that it wasn't forecast, it was. It's so rare they get it right.

The shock of course came from across the pond. Heaven help us!

My first thought for a blip obviously was the snow and I particularly liked show all the birds gathered on the chapel roof adjacent to our back garden but by lunchtime the snow had stopped and it brightened a little. The next surprise was what you see here - the peacock on our conservatory roof through one of the new bedroom windows. Think he was quite surprised by the snow too.

Still a good day for cleaning the kitchen and hanging new curtains. Ready now for that Wednesday drink in the pub!
