P_ssing Alley

There used to be lots of P_ssing Alleys in London.  This one may be the only one whose name has been only slightly changed from the original. The new name appeared in the 1790s.   Its near St Johns Gate which has been there since 1504 , so it's seen a lot of "passing " activity.  1747 map extract in extras. Ignore the green arrow and look east.
