The cows are still wandering across The Heavens

I spent a while looking across the valley from my desk and saw the farmer bringing bales of hay on his tractor into the field and then cows rushing up to get the food.

The light was gorgeous for a few minutes but with the scudding clouds there patches of bright light kept shifting across the valley and hillsides. I think the cows will be taken out of these fields and woods where they can wander at will, even up to our garden fence. They do a lot of damage to the pasture and steep hillsides when the autumn sets in.  Normally they will be brought back again at the beginning of May. I like watching them wander about, surprisingly quickly at times.
