My wee mammy suffers from depression, commonly described as bi-polar...you can see the effect it has as she sits alone in the company of family and friends, the deep lines are not only brought on by age but the effects of lithium...

Her world at times is lost on the families understanding and comments like come on smile...cheer up...and try and snap out of it, while well intentioned are just blowing away in the wind...

She used to wipe away my tears when i was hurt and confused while growing up, strange how life turns as i now find myself comforting her but i have learned to let her decide when i can enter her world in order to reach her as its brighter when you are invited...
