Great Egret (Casmerodius albus)

A fantastic Great Egret flying over me and I got quite a few shots in focus, with the sun shining through those beautiful, pristine white feathers. I love the way this big bird is pointing his or her toes, very like a huge aerial ballerina! It flew over me and then landed very inelegantly further down the river, that's a big bird to get down gracefully, which rather ruined the illusion of the grace this bird has in the gorgeous blue sky, it then ruined it further by having a squabble with a cattle Egret, who was half its size but very feisty!
