The Ballerina

This strangely twisted Hornbeam is one of several idiosyncratic trees in Markstakes Common. I think it looks at its best at this time of year. I gave it the nickname of  'The Ballerina'  many years ago and have occasionally used it to give directions to walkers lost in the woods.
