Poppy tribute

Hundreds of stones picked from Seaham Beach and painted red have been used to make a massive sixteen feet wide  poppy at the feet of the seafront Tommy statue at Seaham.  The artwork is the brainchild of former serviceman Dave McKenna, who wanted to create something to link the statue to the town’s cenotaph.
