Kamppi
This is my favourite building (so far) in Helsinki - the Kamppi Chapel, made of wood, designed by K2S Architects and completed in 2010. It is part of the World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 programme. More shots of it can be seen here.
On a lovely sunny, hot day I have spent 6 hours wandering around taking a photograph or 600. Other favourites were the South Harbour, the formidable Central Railway Station, the Art Nouveau Jugendstil buildings, many of which had classic cars outside.
I also enjoyed the two Cathedrals, the Orthodox Uspenski and the Lutheran Helsinki Cathedral.
And the market was fun, especially the fruit and veg stalls and those selling hats.
