Southern Hawker

I hadn't managed to get close to a stationary dragonfly all year, but today I managed two.

This one is a Southern Hawker, and almost exactly a year ago I blipped a dead one of these that we came across in my in-laws garden. It was much better to come across a live one in the woods across the road. It's worth viewing large.

Later, a smaller Common Darter came and visited us in the garden.
