Ancient
We're staying overnight in the foothills of what some people claim is the longest continuously inhabited city in the world. It's on a meze, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
Today we got shown around the city by the town's historian. We went to the tomb of a sultan dating back 500 years; ruins of a zorastrian temple; the city gate in the wall and a synagogue with the grave of one of Joseph's grandsons (?). We're now staying above a tahini factory.
