Top Gun chooses to remember today with his special tie. And a poppy. 

We did the two minutes silence today - slightly odd run-in courtesy of Heart FM but it's the thought that counts. 

Delighted for a colleague who got her masters degree and was so happy she ended up in tears and the whole office was clapping and whooping. There can't be much wrong with office culture when everyone gets behind a real achievement and is genuinely pleased for a colleague. Gave me a warm feeling inside.

There was actually a really nice atmosphere at work today, a few laughs and jokes to end a very busy week on a high note.

The Dizzle did his leg in playing football and they called out an ambulance but it turned out to be a calf strain, he is not too bad tonight.

We came home at a decent time for a change and went up the pub for food and drink. Poor old TSM was fast asleep on the settee by 7.30 due to a surfeit of rum and nachos. But she has earned her rest, she works exceptionally hard.

So an eventful day, topped off by a magnificent tie...
