Red hot poker

I spotted this flower which I know as red hot poker but I'm sure has a proper botanical name though I have no idea what it is. It would have been good for last week's flower Friday theme of fire, ah well, better late than never.

On this day 11/11 have remembered the people who have fought in wars, both the two WW and more recent conflicts. I hope for peace in the coming months and years, though I fear events of the last week don't make that particularly likely.
