Sun broke through

Another sad day, waking up to the news of the death of Leonard Cohen, another significant loss in the world of music.  Like for so many other people his songs soothed me in dark times and entertained me in happier times. His music and poems will live on.

Today is also Remembrance Day for all the countries involved in WWI. A day to remember the sacrifices made by so many men and boys and certainly some women and girls too. If only remembering their courage and the terrible loss of lives, the war invalids and the destruction led to us declaring and making sure that we will never have wars again !

There was sun today and it was nice to see the sun coming into the new house. I captured the Medinilla Magnifica on the corner of the mantelpiece, loved the shadows. For Flower Friday with thanks as always to BikerBear, our host :-)

I'm again very, very tired, have unpacked most of the living room items now and have started to actual do some interior decorating ;-)
