Acting his shoe size

This is a picture of my uncle Thomas, aged 80. He's the only surviving uncle on my dad's side of the family, and it was so great to spend time with him and my aunt Chris, his sister, aged 86, who I'd met in Ireland and travelled to the USA with.

He's had a long and colourful life and can always be relied on to act the fool at key points. Here he is with some cute little Dame Edna style spectacles that came as decoration on a cake. I hope I'm still that playful when I reach 80.
