Veterans Day….  A school holiday…. and our son’s 50 birthday!  (how did he get so old?)    We’re going to celebrate tomorrow with the rest of the family, so today H and I and the girls went to the Seattle Art Museum to see the Yves St. Laurent show….  Fiona practically filed her sketchbook with designs.. and I think they quite liked it.  It was pretty crowded.    As before , my favorite part was the drawings and fabric swatches.   Fiona also made her own first paper doll, inspired by YSL’s dolls he made when a teenager.   We had lunch in the remodeled cafe (OK but I liked the old one better and it had a much better kids menu) and then came home to decorate cupcakes, make the cheesecake and wrap the presents….We intended to do the table and decorating too but we ran out of energy.  We had to collapse on the couch with healthy snacks and watched some news —which was good I think to calm some of their fears about this “awful president”  (maybe)
