Norfolk coast
Back blip. Monday 7th Nov.
Glorious morning for our first full day in Norfolk.
Visited many of our favourite places.
Started at Cley . Walked along the shingle bank. Waves crashing onto the beach. Don't think we have seen the sea so rough.
Glad we wrapped up well as the wind was biting!
Coffee at a lovely new cafe overlooking the marshes.
Walked part way to Blakeney. Saw a couple of Marsh harriers, geese, egrets, assorted ducks, and many more.
Next to the Red Lion pub at Stiffkey, where they have a menu just for mussels.
Down to the marshes, and then finished off at Blakeney quayside to watch the sun go down.
On the way back to our little cottage a huge stag with enormous antlers came out of the hedge, crossed the road in front of the car, and disappeared through a gap in the hedge at the other side of the road.
Certainly made us jump!
Good job Mr C was driving slowly. If it had hit us I think we would have come off worse.
( yesterday's and today's blips are wrong way round)
