But, I don't want to get off

The word carousel originated from the Italian garosello and Spanish carosella (little battle).  I think there was a little battle going on here.  Apparently, in the 12th century, the carousel was a cavalry training mechanism.  I think I should have taken a ride before I was in a combat of my own.

I'd spotted Rainy Saturday and thought it perfect for not wasting valuable good weather time.  Feeling positive, I headed into Leeds.  Despite the shopping centre being really quite impressive now, the dark sludge and hollow feeling moved in and I found myself muttering unpleasantries at the sight of sparkling commercialism.

I stayed focused, found the few bits that I was after and headed off to meet Rich for lunch at a new gluten-free cafe.  A little early for our rendezvous, out came my camera as I spotted the German market.  With lifted spirits, and a focus on people not things, I enjoyed my few minutes followed by time with Rich.

I know my perception of town is a little peculiar.  I'm part of the system after all.  But it just seems to grab me every time I go in.
