Lord Mayor's Show

London was busy and seriously wet today. We bumped into these brightly costumed people at Embankment tube station. I'm not sure what they were up to, but I suspect they had something to do with the Lord Mayor's Show.

We headed for the Beyond Caravaggio exhibition at the National Gallery. I loved it as it gave an insight into his important techniques and the influence he had. It's been criticised somewhat because it doesn't bring lots of new Caravaggio paintings to London but I'm already a fan and enjoyed seeing his influence more widely.

A splendid Italian lunch and then we headed back to the hotel for a rest before we go out to the National Theatre tonight.
