Kendall and Sue on East Beach

After a rich and varied reconnecting at my studio home, I had the sweet experience of sharing one of my favorite places with dear friends. So precious to see their response to marsh, sand, water; to the musical acacia pods, and to the birds who were out in numbers to greet our empathetic gaze and our admiring cameras. Gulls and terns put on a show, while one small sandpiper came very close and warmed the hearts of all of us. She stayed a while, moving between the three of us until the divisive forces affecting us over recent days dissolved as we received the message imparted by one tiny humble bird. Love...
