SAVED  from the breakers by many 'friends' who paid for her to be brought back to the Clyde from the Thames after  decades as a restaurant ship
Built in Dumbarton by Wm Denny and Sons in 1933 this fine turbine steamer  became "the pin-up ship of the fleet" for Glaswegians sailing for nearly 40 years from Glasgow Bridge Wharf down the river to all the coastal resorts and islands  Dunoon Rothesay Largs Great Cumbrae and Arran
On Wednesday 9th November she came up to Glasgow for the first time since 1977 to a winter berth at Prince's Dock after a repaint and hull condition check
