Pipe, peanut and plucker

This was my first time trying out the continuous shooting mode on the Leica SL, outside with our birds. They are still a bit skittish, I've not been out in the garden photographing them much this past summer. When the peanuts come out it breaks the ice with the Tufted Titmice as you can see here. This one mastered the peanut pluck from the old pipe quite quickly to his satisfaction. The continuous shooting mode is a battery killer, but so much fun. 

We've fastened our safety pins to our clothing for the duration of the ghastly 'Rump presidency.  Pence scares me as much. He has a proven and hateful Anti-LBGT track record as Governor of Indiana. I find them both horrifying and do not know how our planet will survive their backward ways. We must find a way to stop this assault on human rights, the rule of law and their denial of climate change.

This day came in sunny and cool.The dappled yellow and reds of the last  of the leaves make everything so bright and beautiful.
