Hallelujah

This year has been a terrible year for the loss of my musical/film heroes. First it was Bowie - I didn't think I could be more devastated when he passed but it was Alan Rickman and now it's Leonard Cohen.

I remember my now ex father-in-law saying Leonard's music was music to slit your wrists to. Maybe that's why I liked it so much as an angst ridden teenager. My love his music, his poetry and his lugubrious voice never waned.
Although he wrote it and sang it - it was Jeff Buckley's version of one of the greatest songs ever written - 'Hallelujah ' that struck my soul the very first time I heard it. So here is a shot of two of their albums snapped together.
