Parachute and smiles

After arriving in Piura, Peru, this afternoon we went to visit our first Compassion Child Development Center.
Wow, all I can say is wow!
We were greeted at the curb by smiling kids waving balloons, and sometimes popping them to make it even more celebratory. Then we were treated to songs and hugs.
When it was our turn to interact with the kids we sang more songs and played games, like the parachute game of keeping the bean bag in the air.
These children were so welcoming, stepping up to us individually, trying to communicate with my broken Spanish. One little girl just wanted to give me a kiss on the cheek.
I do believe a good time was had by all!
