The View from the Front Door

Today I went to the third in a series of foam roller classes. The teacher is planning to teach one once a month, but I think I'm going to have to find a softer roller...especially if I ever hope to get OilMan back there.

He begged off today saying he had to take Ozzie to the vet to get his ears checked. "Really?" Said I. When he and Ozzie got back he said the report was that one ear was perfect and the other just had a bit of wax in it. I'm guessing that OilMan was willing to pay the price of a visit to the vet to get out of rolling!

I've dug out the knitting to keep my too busy mind quiet right now. It is making so much noise I can't sleep, but the knitting pattern just isn't complicated enough to keep it on task. I'm going to volunteer at the food bank. I'm sure they can use extras as Thanksgiving approaches....

The evening sun on the liquid amber trees contrasting with the puffy white clouds was cheering. It was Dan Rather who said a couple of weeks ago that he was taking restorative walks in the woods as the election got uglier. Now I think introspective walks are in order. Nature can be healing, and I don't have to move out if my chair to admire it....
