Sunday morning on the Via Verde

All over Andalusia many old railway lines which used to take the olives from the hilltops to processing mills now provide miles of cycling and walking for locals and tourists.

In springtime the variety of wilflowers is amazing. Now everywhere is dried out but we could already smell the fires as the local farmers begin to harvest the olives and prune the trees. The harvest will continue thoughout December.
