The Long Gallery
We had a lazy start to today and went out for breakfast to Dave's. The warm sunshine had brought out lots of folks so we had a bit of a wait but it was good to sit outside and chat whilst waiting for porridge and green eggs and ham!
From Dave's we walked in to town and had a cuppa whilst waiting for the Yale Center for British Art to open. The top floor of the Gallery houses the permanent collection and my blip is of the Long Gallery which is well lit and airy. The Center and artworks were presented to the University by philanthropist Paul Mellon who graduated from Yale in 1929. I personally enjoyed the Pre-Raphaelite works and those of Turner.
Then it was time for lunch at Harvest, a visit to IKEA and back to Becky's apartment.
Our thoughts are with NZ blip pals and their families tonight, hope you are all okay!
