Clifton

Major backblip!  I've just been uploading photos to Flickr and discovered I never posted a photo for 27 August!  Luckily I had actually taken some, obviously just forgot to put one up.

We checked out of our hotel, had breakfast at Tim's Mum's, then said goodbye to everyone and set out for Bristol.  We got there with loads of time to spare, so drove up to Clifton first, and had a wander around, including onto the bridge, and had lunch in a lovely deli there.  Then drove down to the Harbour, another wander around, and then on to Stapleton Road to go and see our friends Martin and Sarah and their new baby, Effie.  Instead of a christening, they had a good get-together upstairs in their lovely local.  It was lovely to see them again, and to meet sweet little Effie.  She is so alert and ready to smile!  

We stayed for a couple of hours, then carried on to my Mum's in Somerset.  Had a good catch-up with her, too, and stayed overnight.
