Solace

I take great comfort in our public libraries, which are open to everyone, and membership is free.

No one asks about your income level, ethnic heritage, sexual orientation, religious affiliation or non-affiliation, or who you voted for -- or if you even bothered to vote.

I always feel content in libraries. That's important to me right now, when this country is in such turmoil. 

I'd like to think that everyone in the United States agrees with me about public libraries. That might be a starting point for discovering some other things we agree about... I hope.
