In her Realm

Took my colleague to the Surinam - Turkish lunchroom I frequent on Tuesdays what's close to the community centre we both work at on the Tuesdays. The owner welcomed me as usual and took us down to his kitchen in the basement of his shop, where he has an 80 years old lady cooking the Surinam Hindu dinners for him. We were totally surprised that the kitchen is in the basement! An upstairs - downstairs situation at present?!
He also has a Surinam Javanese lady who does cook the Javanese recepies on other days. Today we met his beautiful Hindustan cook and she willingly posed for me next to the stove. Ofcourse the images I took from her will fly via the e-mail towards him for them both.
