Roll With It

Educational Day

Today we hired the largest car I have ever been in and drove into LA to the La Brea Tar Pits and Page Museum. Samantha had seen the Tar Pits on the Discovery Channel and this was her 'pick'.
Fascinating, in brief pools of liquid asphalt have preserved prehistoric skeletons in almost perfect conditions, the excavations are on going and the site is 'live'.
The Page Museum displays the finds/discoveries and explains about how the site became public property.
Following this visit we headed off to the Natural History Museum Los Angeles, lunch first and then onto the dinosaur displays first. Samantha and Joshua loved every minute of the day, (as did the four adults),
A Starbucks at the USC site set us up for the return journey home where we had a fifteen minute 'pit stop' before heading over to Janet's parents for dinner. A super meal of Taco's and Nacho's was followed by a great dessert and coffee.
For fear of repeating myself; "Another great day".
