Before the clouds took over.

The weather has remained "unsettled". meaning that the winds are strong, rain is not infrequent, and the sun shines not at all or only very briefly. As my day was spent fully indoors dealing with issues on the wards, the weather intruded little on my consciousness, except on the drive to work and home afterwards.

As I was grilling some steak on the BBQ this evening, I realised I hadn't thought about, let alone taken, a photograph today. Got my Pentax and had it with me while supervising the BBQ (in reality it needs little to no supervision, just some help in turning the steak). 

I'm gad I got this photo of the crepuscular rays while the sun was still well above the horizon. The closer it got to disappearing from view, the heavier was the cloud cover just above the horizon
