Child Survival Program

This morning we were greeted by nearly 40 mothers and their children under 4 years old. Since the babies are too young for Compassion's program for school aged children, it's the moms who recieve the attention. They gather at the center to learn how to raise their children, how to use a sewing machine to earn extra income, and to enjoy social interaction with other moms.
Today we shared our stories of struggles and our hope in the Lord, we sang together, we ate together, and we made bracelets.
The best part for me was the privilege of holding a sleeping infant while his mom enjoyed herself.
