Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

I get out a bit more!

Today I got out more! I walked to the surgery for my blood test, normally a 10 minute walk, but it took me half an hour, with a wee sit down at the bus stop. And I walked back again! JR and Archie came with me, lest I took a dizzy spell. I haven't had a dizzy spell since the stair challenge while in hospital, but JR insists. I felt I had earned an afternoon on the sofa watching tennis. (Well done Andy!)

Kirsten came to collect Archie for their first walk together. Arthur's Seat was the intended destination, and indeed the morning was ideal, but the afternoon looked less promising, so they just went to the Meadows, where he chased a squirrel, then back to Kirsten's flat for some bonding. They both came back happy.

JR pottered about in the garden then went off to Dobbies for a leisurely browse. She came back laden with assorted goodies, including two flickering lanterns for the mantelpiece, and two chocolate Santas. Though not, thankfully, the life sized singing reindeer... I have eaten too many Licorice Allsorts today to be interested in the Santas. Anyway, they seem to have disappeared. I shall look for them tomorrow.
