Govan Shipbuilders

This is the floor of the entrance hall of the prestigious headquarters of Glasgow's most famous shipyard "Fairfields" which recently celebrated its 150th anniversary
Now run by Fairfield Heritage I was lucky enough to attend a shipping event in the former boardroom
The shipyard is now owned by BAE systems who build for the Royal Navy at two sites on the Clyde in Glasgow thus maintaining the long and distinguished history of shipbuilding here
