Shroom

I went up to the allotment first thing (well, early for me anyway) and managed to get quite a lot done before the inevitable cold shower of rain started. I sowed some peas, picked a bagful of greens, weeded the leeks.....at some point I came across what looked like a field mushroom lying on its back on the grass. Even stranger was the pattern of little depressions all over my newly planted garlic patch - at first I thought the fox had been cavorting about there as usual, but then realised that they were only on the garlic patch and had a worrying regularity about them. I think that some little blighter may have dug up all the cloves and eaten them. Do mice like garlic? Rats? Grrrrr.
