Life of a bubble maker

Sugar Love

Into work early today. I was going to take the train in so J and Steve could have the car to go for a walk, but as it was raining there was no chance they would be walking.

Sorted out some more parts and arranged my flight and hotel for next week and managed to get back for noon. So at least the whole day wasn't wasted at work.

Decided to go to see Chris McClausland at the Pleasant's. He is a blind Liverpool comic who we have seen for the past 3 years. Unfortunately he wasn't as good as previous years.

On the way to the Pleasant's we stopped off at the Fudge House to buy a quick sugar rush. Always a favourite of mine. You have got to love fudge. This time it was Rum and Raisin, Vanilla and Pistachio with White Chocolate.

After the show it was off to the whisky society for a 3-course dinner for £22 each and a nice bottle of Malbec followed by a dram.

We then went to see Russell Kane at the Assembly rooms. After about 10 minute we couldn't hear anything due to the bad sound in the room. The group in front of us started to shout at Russell Kane, who to his credit said that he knew about the problem and had been complaining about it to the Assembly rooms who hadn't done anything about it, and if we wanted to leave we could and get our money back.

We did get our money back but unfortunately missed out on seeing one of the main comics we were looking forward to.

We then went to see Jerry Shadowitz. He was exactly what I was expecting but not my thing so all in all not the best day at the fringe.
