Today I visited Broughton High School to talk to an S3 maths class about careers in software. They were hard to engage. Harder than an auditorium full of Scandinavians even.

I showed them this video by James Bach where he plays the opening of Towering Inferno, but scrolls his own subtitles over the dialogue. I'd tried it on Angus last night and he thought it would go down well. It didn't seem to ;)

Back home my slow cooked chilli meatballs were more popular. Is the world trying to tell me something? Should I listen?
