On the 4th of November 1909, in a humerous attempt to prove that pigs really can fly, the pioneer aviator Baron Brabazon of Tara, better known to his friends as John Theodore Cuthbert Moore-Brabazon, took a piglet aloft in his biplane, strapped into a wastepaper basket. If you don't believe that, then here is the proof.
