Howe Park

Continuing on with our 'Edinburgh Parks' project....................... And today we discovered a park that isn't even on the 'Edinburgh Council Parks & Gardens' list??? Maybe it's too new? Anyway for any of you lovely Edinburgh Blippers that are interested................ 'Howe Park' is up at Hunters Tryst near Morrisons.

I had a lovely play with two golden retrievers and two black labs and then I did some rolling on my back and then I just rolled over and posed nicely for my Blip. Sometimes I'm ever so good and pose for my Blip before Ann even says, 'Molly Blip.

Anyway the reason why we discovered 'Howe Park' was................... Ann wanted to go to Morrisons because our nearest supermarket is 'M&S Simply Food' and although M&S is great for yummy pre-packed meals and yummy pre-packed vegetables and yummy pre-packed everything, Ann is trying to be a domestic goddess and needs more practice cooking things from scratch on her newish hob and in her oven. And also M&S don't appear to stock such basics as toilet rolls & bin bags??? Maybe that's why it's called 'Simply Food'?!

So I waited while she went into 'Morrisons' and then she said I was going to have an 'on my lead walk' around the huge new housing estate (that she remembers as being fields years ago) because she wanted to have a nosey at all the posh houses. Well, that's not particularly exciting for a gorgeous little collie but I didn't get a choice in the matter. And do you know what?.................. The houses did look very nice and they did have lovely views of the Pentland Hills (which we have) and they did all have gardens and they did all have garages (which we don't have but we do have owner & visitor private parking permits and the city centre is less than a mile away).

…................But actually the park wasn't really that exciting. It was just a load of grass with a few trees round the edges. And I didn't even see any squirrels! If I hadn't met the four other doggies I would have been bored. Hermitage of Braid & Braidburn Valley Park, which are my two nearest parks, are way more exciting for a gorgeous little collie!

…...............Sometimes it's good to look at what you can't afford..................... because it makes you realise that what you've actually got; is a load better than any big posh house in suburbia?!!!
