One of many today.

Wild weather, cold winds, sleet, hail and icy stinging rain, stormlit skies, shafts of piercing sunshine between waves of threatening clouds and ferocious downpours.  Winter has arrived. 

Amongst other things I found myself at the opening of the new Aldi in town this morning. Stampedes of excited consumers with elbows at the ready,  regaled with helium balloons and too loud jolly music. It all seemed quite strange.
