THE HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Inspired by walkingMarj's blip of a couple of days ago, and her visit to Lacock, I listened to a podcast of an episode of "In Our Time" on the history of photography while I dismantled my recalcitrant laser printer today, and then looked for an old album which I knew had this photo in it. Not the same window, but I took it with my first camera - a Box Brownie, given to me by Dad - on a school trip to Lacock Abbey in September 1960, when I was 9 (I seemed to be more efficient about labelling in those days). I hope my composition has improved a bit since then.

Exactly a year ago since my surgery, and all's well. I'm happy to put it all behind me now.
