Olympic House

A very long day.

I had an early meeting at Manchester Airport first thing. This is the view from the venue, up a few floors at Olympic House. The phone pic doesn't really bring out the Greater Manchester backdrop, which was fascinating.

The building straight ahead is the transport interchange. To the left is the multi storey car park to the T1 Terminal - T1 will disappear in the next 15 years as the airport is modernised. The plans are rightly radical, and they will be delivered.

Orwellian fact of the day. The new 1m sq ft Amazon warehouse being built on the edge of the airport is not a warehouse. According to Amazon it is a "fulfilment centre".

I ended the day presenting to a packed public meeting. Lots of passion, lots of challenge, lots of questions. It is what proper consultation is about.

In between, lots to do, there is a lot happening. Behind on the blipping front.
