Sunrise

We stayed the night above Torver near Sunday’s orienteering and woke to a good sunrise. This turned out to be the extent of the sun for the day, but the view south east was great. The orienteering was on Torver High Common, out on the open fell. It was wet underfoot and quite easy. We went back to Sandscale Haws after the event, and went to look around the area where I was confused. The reason turned out to be that a sandy area on the map should have been mapped as rough open and suddenly all was clear. It hosed down on the way home.
